Biography:

K R Harie was an Indian artist born in Madras (now Chennai), India in 1941. He started his career as a painter working with oils on canvas and later did a series of line drawings on paper. He was known for his painting skills with pen and ink and was a recipient of the Tamil Nadu Lalit Kala Akademi Award. He was one of the first set of artists to move into Cholamandal Artists' Village and was a well-known artist in the community. He died in 2011.
