Kaoru Usukubo is a Japanese painter born in 1981 in Ibaraki, Japan. She received her PhD in Oil Painting from Tokyo University of the Arts in 2010. Usukubo's works often explore the boundary between the real and the unreal, the visible and the invisible, painted in a realistic style. She lives and works in Tokyo, Japan.
