Biography:
Karel Frederik Bombled was a Dutch painter, illustrator, etcher and lithographer. He was born in Amsterdam in 1822 and died in 1902. Bombled was known for his genre scenes, landscapes and still lifes. He was a member of the Pulchri Studio in The Hague and exhibited his work at various exhibitions in the Netherlands and abroad. His work can be found in various museums, including the Rijksmuseum in Amsterdam and the Museum of Fine Arts in Ghent.
