Biography:

Konstantin Nikolaevich Istomin was a Russian avant-garde artist, born in Kursk, Russia in 1886 and died in Samarkand, Uzbekistan in 1942. He studied at the private Studio of the artist E. Schrader in Kharkov, then in art school sh holloshi in Munich (1906-09). In the 1920s, he was part of the artistic Association 'Makovets' and 'Four arts'. He is known for his unique style and was undeservedly forgotten for many decades. His works are in the Tretyakov Gallery and the Russian Museum.
