Biography:
Lee Kwang-Ho is a representative figure in realism paintings. He takes daily subject matters and takes the reproduction of their forms into a unique language of his own. Although realism seems like quite a straightforward style, Lee Kwang-Ho's works are full of depth and complexity. Born in 1967 in Seoul, Korea, Lee Kwang-Ho currently lives and works in Seoul. He is also a professor of Western painting at Ewha Womans University, College of Arts and Design. Lee Kwang-Ho has had numerous solo exhibitions throughout his career, including 'Lee Kwang Ho: Blow-up' at Kukje Gallery in 2023 and 'Touch' at Johyun Gallery in Busan in 2011. His works can be found in various collections around the world, including the National Museum of Contemporary Art in Seoul.
