Biography:

Leonard Koscianski was born in Cleveland, Ohio. A student of R. Buckminster Fuller, and noted American painter Wayne Theibaud, he received his Bachelor’s degree from the Cleveland Institute of Art and his Master’s degree from the University of California, Davis. Koscianski's paintings are in the collections of the Museum of Modern Art, the National Museum of American Art, the Philadelphia Museum of Art, the Denver Art Museum, the National Museum of Poland, and the National Museum of Modern Art in Tokyo. He has had over 50 solo exhibitions and has been featured in over 100 group exhibitions. He has received numerous awards and grants, including a National Endowment for the Arts Fellowship, a Pennsylvania Council on the Arts Fellowship, and a Pollock-Krasner Foundation Grant. Koscianski's work has been reviewed in Art in America, Artforum, The New York Times, The Philadelphia Inquirer, and The Washington Post. He is represented by the Louis K. Meisel Gallery in New York City, the Carl Hammer Gallery in Chicago, the Stremmel Gallery in Las Vegas, and the J Willott Gallery in Palm Desert, California.
