Loretta Krupinski is an American illustrator and author of children's books. She was born on September 5, 1940, in Brooklyn, New York. Krupinski has worked as a freelance children's book illustrator and marine art painter since 1987. Her works have been displayed at various exhibitions, including the Boston Symphony Concert Hall and the Lyman Allyn Museum. She is a member of the American Society of Marine Artists and the Society of Children's Book Writers and Illustrators. Krupinski has received several awards for her work, including the American Library Association Best Books citation and the International Reading Association/Children's Choice award.
