Biography:

Lucien Édouard Roisin Besnard (or L. Roisin , born September 9, 1884 in Paris and died February 16, 1943 in Barcelona) is a French photographer and editor established in Barcelona at the end of World War I . He is known in Spain for his postcard business: La casa de la postal (The house of the postcard). Thanks to Roisin's great photographic production, it is possible to see the evolution of Spanish landscapes over more than thirty years. Most of his work is kept at the historical photographic archives of the Institute of Photographic Studies in Catalonia.
