Luigi Ghirri was an Italian artist and photographer born in Scandiano, Italy in 1943 and died in 1992. He was known for his work about the relationship between fiction and reality. Ghirri's work has been the subject of numerous books and has been exhibited in the 2011 Venice Biennale and at MAXXI in Rome.
