Biography:
Magnus IV or Sigurd II were kings of Norway. Magnus Sigurdsson, also known as Magnus the Blind, was King of Norway (being Magnus IV) from 1130 to 1135 and again from 1137 to 1139. Sigurd Haraldsson, also called Sigurd Munn, was king of Norway (being Sigurd II) from 1136 to 1155. They were both sons of Harald Gille, king of Norway and his mistress Thora Guttormsdotter. Their period as kings marked the beginning of the civil war era in Norway, which lasted until 1240.
