Biography:

Marino Parenti was an Italian bibliographer, essayist, and painter. He was born on May 31, 1900, in Asola, Italy. After his father's death at a young age, Parenti did not pursue his humanistic interests as he had planned. Instead, he developed a varied career as a bibliophile, writer, publisher, radio critic, and collector. He was involved in the Italian cultural scene between Milan, Rome, and Florence. Parenti was passionate about art and declared that his aspirations were divided between literary studies and painting. He tried his hand at illustrations, demonstrating a strong vocation for humorous drawings. His series of drawings with female figures dates back to the 1930s, showcasing clean-cut images with purely linear effects. Parenti's versatility led him to use decomposition techniques, recalling the works of Gino Severini. He was also involved in the publishing world and wrote about various topics, including art criticism.
