Biography:
Massimo Agus is an Italian photographer, curator, and teacher. He was born in Cagliari, Italy in 1955. After graduating in Architecture from the University of Florence, he dedicated himself to photography, specializing in theater and performance photography. His work spans from prose to dance, opera to street theater, music to artist portraits. He has collaborated with many production centers and companies in Tuscany, and his photographs have been published in major Italian and international magazines, as well as in books and catalogs related to the performing arts. For 15 years, he was the official photographer of the Mercantia Street Theater Festival in Certaldo and the Balletto di Toscana. He has photographed the city of Florence in historical research projects on Russian and Polish presence in the city. He has participated in exhibitions, both personal and collective, in Europe, the United States, and Russia. In 2004, he founded the Center for Photography of the Performing Arts in San Miniato. He curated the volume 'Fotografia e Teatralità' published by Titivillus, and is the artistic director of the Occhi di Scena photography festival. In 2008, he founded the CiternaFotografia festival...
