Biography:
Matthew Mazzotta is an American social practice artist. He was born on March 28, 1977, in Canton, New York. Mazzotta is a 2018 Loeb fellow at Harvard University and a 2019 Guggenheim fellow. He works internationally and is known for his projects that focus on the power of the built environment to shape relationships and experiences. Mazzotta received a BFA from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago and a Master of Science in Visual Studies from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology's Program in Art, Culture, and Technology. He is also a lecturer at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology program in Art, Culture, and Technology.
