Biography:
Melanie Cervantes is a Xicana artist and activist based in the Bay Area. She is a co-founder of the art and design collective Dignidad Rebelde, which she runs with Jesus Barraza. Cervantes' work often focuses on social justice issues, including labor rights, immigration, and indigenous struggles. She has exhibited her work in galleries and museums across the United States and has been recognized for her contributions to the Chicano art movement.
