Mervyn Bishop es un fotógrafo de noticias y documentales australiano. Nació en Brewarrina, Nueva Gales del Sur, en 1945. Bishop se unió The Sydney Morning Herald as a cadet in 1962, becoming the first Aboriginal Australian to work on a metropolitan daily newspaper and one of the first to become a professional photograph. En 1971, fue nombrado fotógrafo de prensa australiano del año. Bishop ha seguido trabajando como fotógrafo y profesor.
