Michael Bruce Ross, also known as Michael Ross, was an American serial killer who was executed by the state of Connecticut in 2005. He was the last person executed in Connecticut before the state ended capital punishment in 2012. Ross was born in Brooklyn, New York in 1959 and was raised in Connecticut. He was convicted of raping and murdering eight young women in Connecticut between 1981 and 1984. Ross was diagnosed with antisocial personality disorder and was described as a sexual predator. He was executed by lethal injection on May 13, 2005, at the age of 45. Ross is also known for being the subject of a legal battle over his execution, as he had waived his right to appeal and requested to be executed.
