Biography:

Nancy Brown is an American artist, best known for her work as the Chief Executive Officer of the American Heart Association (AHA) since 2008. Under her leadership, the AHA has become a global authority on cardiovascular and brain health, as well as overall health and well-being. Brown has forged powerful partnerships and championed equitable health for all, while also being committed to innovation at the intersection of science, technology, and public health. She has led the AHA's strategic response to the COVID-19 pandemic, established the One Brave Idea research and innovation enterprise, and identified breakthroughs in brain health through the AHA/Allen Initiative in Brain Health and Cognitive Impairment. Brown has also been recognized as one of Modern Healthcare’s ‘Top Women Leaders’ and an elite nonprofit leader and health equity champion.
