Nathan Gray is an American post-hardcore singer and songwriter, best known as the lead vocalist of the band BoySetsFire. Gray was born in Newark, Delaware in 1994, and formed BoySetsFire in October 1994 with guitarists Chad Istvan and Josh Latshaw, drummer Jared Shavelson, and bassists Chris Rakus and Robert Ehrenbrand. The band's lyrical themes are politically driven. Gray is also a decorated test and fighter pilot, having flown with the Fleet Air Arm for over two decades. He has also written a memoir, 'Hazard Spectrum', about his experiences as a pilot. Gray identifies as non-binary and queer, and uses they/them pronouns.
