Biography:

Nicholas Pinna, also known as Nicola Pinna, was born in Milan, Italy in 1974. He is a chemist and professor at the Humboldt University of Berlin. Pinna studied physical chemistry at the Université Pierre et Marie Curie in Paris and received his Ph.D. in 2001. He then moved to the Fritz Haber Institute of the Max Planck Society in Berlin. Pinna has been a professor at the Humboldt University of Berlin since 2002, where he has served as the Vice Director of the Institute of Chemistry and the Director of the Institute of Chemistry. Pinna's research focuses on Metal-organic frameworks (MOFs) with encapsulated pre-formed nanoparticles (NPs), which have expanded application potential in catalysis, filtration, and sensing. He has published numerous articles on his research and has received recognition for his work, including being listed on Google Scholar with over 22,945 citations.
