Biography:
Nicola Samorì is an Italian painter and poet born in 1977 in Forlì, Italy. He studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Bologna and currently lives and works in Bagnacavallo. Samorì is known for his contemporary interpretations of 16th and 17th century European artworks, often physically manipulating the painting surface. His work was included in the Italian Pavilion at the 2015 Venice Biennale and can be found in numerous private collections internationally, including the Taylor Art Collection in Denver, Colorado.
