Biography:

Nicolas Baudesson was a French painter born in Troyes in 1611. He was the nephew of Jacques Linard and was trained by him. He specialized in still life and flower painting. He was admitted to the Académie royale de peinture et de sculpture on May 26, 1671. He died in Paris in 1680, leaving behind a son, Jean François Baudesson, who was also a painter.
