Biography:
The New South Wales Rugby Union (NSWRU) is the governing body of rugby union within most of the state of New South Wales in Australia. It was founded in 1874 as the Southern Rugby Football Union and has been a member and founding union of Rugby Australia since its inception. The NSWRU oversees various competitions, including Super Rugby, National Rugby Championship, Shute Shield, and Suburban Rugby, among others. The organization also manages national representative rugby union teams, including the Waratahs.
