Biography:

Philipp Jakob Drentwett III was a German goldsmith and silversmith born in Augsburg in 1643. He became a master in 1666 and was a member of the Drentwett dynasty, a prominent family of artists in Augsburg. He was known for his silver and gold objects, often decorated with niello and parcel-gilt. He died in 1708.
