Philippe Starck is a French industrial architect and designer born in Paris, France on January 18, 1949. Starck first gained international fame in 1984 with his design for the private flat of French President François Mitterrand. He has since worked on numerous projects, including hotels, restaurants, and private residences, as well as mass-produced consumer goods such as furniture and household objects.
