Biography:
Adolphe Varin, also known as Pierre-Adolphe Varin, was a French artist born in Châlons-sur-Marne, France in 1821 and died in 1897. He was a dessinateur, graveur, photographe, and artiste visuel. He was the son of Joseph Varin, a professor of drawing, and had three siblings who were also artists. Adolphe Varin worked with his brother Eugène to copy tableaux for the gallery Goupil and produced an album of gravures called 'L'Art industriel'. He is buried in the Père-Lachaise cemetery in Paris.
