Biography:

Alessandro Quaranta is an Italian artist born in Ancona, Italy in 1974. He is also known as Professor Alessandro Quaranta. Quaranta is a photographer who has created a piece titled 'Slow Descent'. He is currently based in Australia and is also a Chief Clinical Consultant and Scientific Education Coordinator at the Smile Specialist Suite in Newcastle, NSW. Quaranta is also a Professor of Dentistry at the School of Dentistry at Polytechnic Marche University in Ancona, Italy. He has a PhD in Dental Implantology and extensive clinical expertise in the surgical treatment of periodontal disease. Quaranta has been in specialist practice for 15 years since completing his specialist training from the University of Rome, La Sapienza, the top university in Italy and the largest. He is also a Fellow of the Pierre Fauchard Academy, a Fellow of the International College of Dentists, and a Member of the Royal Australasian College of Dental Surgeons (Periodontics). Quaranta has published numerous articles in scientific journals and has presented at various national and international conferences. He is also an Associate Professor and Director of the Doctor of Clinical Dentistry program at the University of Western Australia's School of Dentistry in Perth, Australia.
