Biography:

Rafael Rivera Rosa is a Puerto Rican painter, graphic artist, digital artist, graphic designer, and retired university professor. He was born in Comerío, Puerto Rico in 1942. Rivera-Rosa studied with the artists of the ‘Fifties Generation’, including Domingo García at the Campeche Workshop. He has had numerous exhibitions in Puerto Rico and the United States, and his work is in the collections of the Museum of Art of Puerto Rico, the Museum of Contemporary Art of Puerto Rico, and the Museo de Arte de Bayamón. Rivera Rosa is known for his use of vibrant colors and geometric shapes, and his work often explores themes of Puerto Rican culture and identity.
