Biography:

Raoul Adam was a French painter born in La Châtre, France in 1881. He died in Nohant-Vic, France in 1948. Adam was a painter of landscapes, particularly inspired by the landscapes of the Indre region in France. He studied in Paris and later at the Arts Décoratifs, where he learned to create decorative art. He was influenced by the painters Cormon and Gustave Colin. Adam's first paintings were inspired by the valley of the Creuse. He exhibited his works in Paris at the Salon of the Société Nationale des Beaux-Arts from 1912. He lived in various places in the Indre region, including Éguzon, Châteauroux, Thevet-Saint-Julien, and Nohant-Vic. Adam died in his studio in Nohant-Vic in 1948.
