Biography:

Reina Irmer was a German-born Australian photographer. She began work as a professional photographer in 1964 and came to Australia with her family in 1983. From 1986 until her retirement in 2010, she worked as the Senior Photographer at the State Library of Queensland. During this time, she recorded many major historical events throughout Queensland, including the Q150 celebrations in 2009. Irmer's photography will continue to be enjoyed for years to come with thousands of her images available to view online via the State Library of Queensland's One Search catalogue.
