Rick Rocamora

Biography:

Rick Rocamora is an award-winning documentary photographer and author of 5 photo books. His works are a part of the permanent collection of the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art (SFMOMA). He has dedicated himself to documenting civil rights issues, immigrant rights and their contributions to the U.S., and other social justice causes through his photography. Rocamora's work has been exhibited in various galleries and museums around the world, including the Smithsonian Institution, the International Center of Photography, and the Museum of Modern Art in New York City. He has also received numerous awards for his contributions to photojournalism, including the World Press Photo Award and the Robert F. Kennedy Journalism Award. In addition to his photography career, Rocamora is also a member of the U.S. Department of State's Art in Embassies program, which promotes cultural exchange through art exhibitions at American embassies around the world.
