Biography:

Rob McHaffie was born in Melbourne, Australia in 1978. He lives and works in Castlemaine, Victoria. His painting, drawing, and ceramic portraiture of characters, both real and imagined, offer an engagement with themes of personal healing, family life, human relationships, and the foibles of contemporary times. McHaffie has exhibited across Australia and internationally, including at Art Basel Hong Kong in 2017. He has received several awards and residencies, including the Local Art Prize, Bayside Acquisitive Art Prize, and the Asialink residency at Rimbun Dahan, Malaysia.
