Ruggero Savinio, also known as Ruggero De Chirico, was born in Torino, Italy in 1934. He is a painter and member of the Metacosa Movement. He is the son of Alberto Savinio and the nephew of Giorgio De Chirico. He has had a long and prolific career as an artist, with his work being shown in numerous exhibitions in Milan and other cities. His work often deals with philosophical and psychological themes and has been influenced by Apollinaire, Picasso, Jean Cocteau, Max Jacob, and Fernand Léger. He has also been a significant influence on the surrealist movement.
