Safet Zec is a prominent figure in the world of art, known for his exceptional skills as a painter and graphic designer. Born on December 5, 1943, in Rogatica, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Safet Zec has made significant contributions to the art world.

Early Life and Education

Safet Zec

graduated from the School of Applied Arts in Sarajevo in 1964. He then went on to graduate from the University of Fine Arts in Belgrade in 1969, and completed his postgraduate studies at the same university in 1972. This solid educational foundation laid the groundwork for his future success.

Artistic Career

In the seventies, Safet Zec became one of the major exhibitors of poetic realism. He has prepared over 70 solo exhibitions in Bosnia and Herzegovina and in large cities around the world. As a member of the Association of Visual Artists of Bosnia and Herzegovina, he has won over 20 awards for his work. In 2007, he was awarded with the Order of the Arts and Literature of France. Some of his notable works include My sister's room, Bakarević's lodge, A large room, Houses and foliage, Windows, and The big house in Bistrik that no longer exists. His series of paintings, Srebrenia, is also worth mentioning. Additionally, his work Il pane della carità showcases his unique style.
