Biography:

Salvatore Meo, also known as Salvatore De Meo, is an Italian politician born in Fondi in 1971. He was elected as a member of the European Parliament in 2019 and took his seat after Brexit. He was the chairman of the European Parliament Committee on Constitutional Affairs (AFCO) as of the end of 2022. In March 2024, De Meo was one of twenty MEPs to be given a 'Rising Star' award at The Parliament Magazine's annual MEP Awards. He is not to be confused with Salvatore Meo, an American artist born in 1942, who is known for his sculptures.
