Sam Goodsell is an American artist born in 1966. He has devoted his life to painting and drawing, studying intensively with Harvey Dinnerstein at the Art Students League of New York. In 1994, he returned to the art world after a nine-year hiatus, focusing on figure painting. Goodsell has taught for the Pastel Society of America and the Art League of Long Island, providing live demonstrations for various organizations. He is known for his portrait and figure paintings.
