She is best known for her directorial feature film debut, Nowhere Boy (2009), which is based on the childhood experiences of the Beatles' singer and songwriter John Lennon. Taylor-Johnson is one of the Young British Artists. Her work often explores human emotions and the boundaries between private and public lives.
