Biography:

Sam Tho Duong was born in Bien Hoa, Vietnam, in 1969. In the late 1970s his family fled Vietnam for Germany by boat after the rise of communism. He studied jewelry design in Pforzheim, Germany, where he currently resides. Duong is known for his clever use of yogurt containers to create elegant necklaces with surprising variations, as seen in his show 'lemitcA'. He has also been recognized as the 6th Hanau Goldsmith Laureate and has had his work exhibited in various galleries and museums.
