Biography:

Sandra Maureen Fisher was an American figure painter based in London and who was born in New York City. She was born on May 6, 1947, and died on September 19, 1994. Fisher was born in New York City and her family moved to Miami in 1948 where her father Gene Fisher was a homebuilder. Her mother, Ethel Fisher, was also an artist. Fisher studied at the Chouinard Art Institute and moved to London in 1971 to pursue a career as a painter. Her main subject was the human figure, and she worked from life. Fisher's work is held in the collections of the London Transport Museum and the Ben Uri Gallery and Museum.
