Sansetsu Matsumoto was a Japanese painter known for his work during the Edo period. He served as a court painter for the lords of Iyo Matsuyama han and is particularly renowned for his ink and light color paintings on paper. Sansetsu's works often depicted scenes from nature, such as landscapes and animals, with great attention to detail and an emphasis on harmony between man and nature.
