Kaoru Shibuta is a Japanese artist born in Hokkaido in 1980. He is known for his captivating work that explores themes of unity and division, and has exhibited his art both in Japan and internationally, including in Washington DC, London, Spain, Taiwan, Cambodia, and Slovenia. Shibuta's art is inspired by jazz and classical music, and he has a background in make-up artistry. He has also been an artist-in-residence at the CCCB in Barcelona and ESPRONCEDA in Spain. Shibuta's art has been recognized with several major art prizes, and he has been featured in Singulart Gallery and Artsy.
