Sigismond Himely was a French 19th Century artist who was born in La Neuveville, Switzerland in 1801. He was a painter and engraver who learned aquatint in Paris and gained French nationality. He died in Paris in 1872. His work has been offered at auction multiple times, with realized prices ranging from 39 USD to 8,125 USD, depending on the size and medium of the artwork. The Musée d'Orsay in Paris holds some of his works in their collection.
