Biography:
Simon Andreas Krausz was a Dutch painter, draftsman and etcher. Krausz was a student of Léonard Defrance (1773-1774) and later of the Hague Academy. He became a member of Confrerie Pictura in 1780 and was a prominent contributor to the Romantic period in Dutch art. His students and children founded the art movement known as the Hague School.
