Biography:
Susan Crile is an American painter and printmaker. She was born in Cleveland, Ohio in 1942 and attended Bennington College, graduating in 1965. Crile's work often has political themes and has been exhibited in various museums including the Metropolitan Museum of Art, the Hirshhorn Museum, and the Cleveland Museum of Art. She has received several awards for her work, including an Emmy Award, Peabody Award, and Edward R. Murrow Award. In 2017, Crile produced a Three part series on documenting the abusive behaviour within the Prison system.
