Biography:
Sue Hyman is a British Labour Party politician who has been the Parliamentary Under-Secretary of State at the Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs since July 2024. She was previously shadow spokesperson for Defra in the Lords between October 2020 and July 2024, as well as Shadow Spokesperson for Levelling Up, Housing, Communities and Local Government from December 2021 to October 2023. In the Commons, Sue Hayman served as shadow Secretary of State for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs from 2017 to 2019. She was elected as MP for Workington in 2015, where she was the first female MP to represent a constituency in Cumbria. Sue Hayman was raised to the Peerage in July 2020.
