Susie Porter is an Australian actress, known for her work in film, television, and theatre. She was born in Newcastle, Australia in 1971 and studied at the National Institute of Dramatic Art (NIDA) in Sydney. Porter made her film debut in the 1996 film 'Idiot Box' and has since appeared in numerous films, including 'Paradise Road' (1997), 'Two Hands' (1999), 'Better Than Sex' (2000), 'The Monkey's Mask' (2000), 'Mullet' (2001), 'Teesh and Trude' (2002), and 'The Caterpillar Wish' (2006). She has also had prominent roles in television series, such as 'East West 101' (2007-2011), 'East of Everything' (2008-2009), 'Sisters of War' (2010), and 'Wentworth' (2018-2021). Porter is also a passionate animal lover and advocate for the LGBT community. She is married to Chris Mordue.
