Biography:

Hyuro, also known as Tamara Djurovic, was an Argentinian-born street artist who came to notice when based in Valencia, Spain. She was born in Buenos Aires in 1974 and died in Valencia in 2020. She studied at the Polytechnic University of Valencia. Her huge murals appear in many countries around the world, including Spain, Argentina, Brazil, Mexico, the United States, Germany, Morocco, and Tunisia. Her images are monochrome or with very muted colors and frequently feature faceless women. Her work often highlights issues including gender-based violence and deaths due to abortion. She was known for her poetic feminism and her commemoration of the world's 'invisible' women.
