Biography:

TAO Ya-Lun is a new media artist from Taiwan, born in Taipei in 1980. He is known for his focus on human existence and condition in the era of information technology, with works encompassing a riotous profusion of forms from video and sound artworks to kinetic installations and manipulation of lights and shadows. Tao is a professor at the College of Communication at National Chengchi University and a pioneer of new multimedia arts in Taiwan. He has exhibited in numerous international festivals and institutions, including the Museum of Contemporary Art, Taipei, the New Images Festival, and the MADATAC Festival in Madrid.
