Teresa Helbig is a Spanish fashion designer born in Barcelona in 1963. She is the founder of the eponymous high-end shoe brand. Helbig rose to prominence in the 1960s with her use of unconventional materials such as metal and plastic in her clothing, and for her incorporation of futuristic elements in her designs, gaining notoriety for her space-age style. She has collaborated with a range of iconic fashion houses and designed costumes for films. Helbig is also known for her fragrances, including Paco Rabanne Pour Homme, 1 Million, and Lady Million. In 2023, she received the Premio Nacional de Diseño de Moda, the highest recognition given by the Spanish Ministry of Culture and Sports to fashion designers.
