Biography:

Tim Reckmann is a German media entrepreneur, photographer and co-founder of HammWiki e.V. He was born on October 4, 1977, in Hamm, Germany. After completing his Abitur at the Märkischen Gymnasium Hamm in 1998, he founded his first company, Powerplant New Media, which developed the well-known music platform Songtext.net. Reckmann has also worked as a technical and broadcast director for the Offener Kanal Hamm from 1998 to 2005. He has been active as a lecturer for citizen media and new media since 2000. In addition to his work in his own company, he has been involved with various institutions such as the Bildungszentrum Bürgermedien, Landesanstalt für Medien, and Volkshochschule der Stadt Hamm. Reckmann expanded his business by adding a photo studio in 2006, which was initially located in Rhynern until 2010. He reopened the studio under the same name in Heinrich-Welken-Straße in 2014. Parallel to his work in his company, he was involved with the Verlagsgruppe Westfälischer Anzeiger from 2008 to 2010.
