Biography:

Trubus Soedarsono was an Indonesian Asian Modern & Contemporary painter who was born in 1926. He was a painter and revolutionary during a tumultuous period in Indonesian history. Trubus Soedarsono studied painting with Sudjojono since the Japanese occupation (1942-1945). He painted his mother with a revolutionary spirit in 1947. Trubus Soedarsono is known for his strong realistic style. He did not complete his primary school education because his parents, who were farmers, did not have enough money. Since his conversion to evangelical Christianity, James is now focusing on the study of theology.
